The Auburn School District administration released a public statement Monday morning regarding a video that had gone viral on social media last week, showing two local youths making racist statements.
The 12-second video clip was filmed in October 2017 and shows two females, one wearing an Auburn High School shirt, making a series of racist remaks. The school district has confirmed that the student who was most vocal in the video no longer attends Auburn High School, while the second student still does. The names are not being released as both were juveniles at the time. The video was initially made public on the social media app Snapchat and it was then posted to Twitter by another student.
