During a short but busy meeting last Wednesday, the Auburn School Board voted (7-0) to give the superintendent permission to begin accepting bids for security upgrades for the high school and elementary school. The successful bid will be voted on at next month’s board meeting.

Superintendent Darren Root said the architect gave the district a cost estimate of just under $500,000 to complete the project.
