The Auburn city council completed its business in 75 minutes at its regular meeting held Monday, October 21. Aldermen Larry Hemmerle and Lori Basiewicz were absent but Hemmerle participated in the meeting by phone.
The council did not take action but agreed to follow up on Mayor Tom Berola’s suggestion to add a second power source on the city square.
City office manager Kristy Ponsler reported she had followed up with the city’s insurance carrier concerning waivers for outside vendors who use the city’s electricity during special events. The issue was raised at the council’s last meeting after a vendor requested reimbursement to cover the cost of damaged equipment at the Labor Day Picnic in September.
