North Mac broke open a close game with touchdowns on its first two drives of the 2nd half and went on to knock off Auburn 23-9 Friday at Potts Field. The Trojans will take a 1-1 record into this Friday’s matchup at Athens, a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Auburn trailed just 8-6 at halftime against North Mac but only managed 63 total yards and a field goal by Spencer Rikas after the break. The Panthers (2-0) relied on the ground game for most of its offfense with 280 rushing yards and held a decisive 24-11 edge in first downs.
