Auburn High’s girls golf team won the Lady Viper Invitational held Saturday at Terry Park in Palmyra. The Lady Trojans shot a 184 total to win the title by four strokes over Williamsville. The tournament was shortened to nine holes due to rain.
The low four for Auburn were Ellie Knight with 39, Kristina Hemberger with 47 and 49’s from Shelby Seiler and Riley Bess. Knight was third in the individual standings behind medalist Addie Dobson of Routt (36) and Faith Davis of Williamsville (38), and Hemberger was eighth. Paige Burton added a 51 and Peyton Taapken shot 70 for Auburn.
Auburn’s B team finished eighth out of nine teams with a 226 total. Mailee Schoen paced the B team with a 48, which was 10th individually, and was followed by Bethany Whisler (53), Kendal Conway (59), Anna Hunley (66) and 71’s from Olivia Marchizza and Aurora Nadalini.
