At a special meeting held last Wednesday night, the Ball-Chatham Board of Education voted unanimously to implement a hybrid/virtual learning model at Glenwood High School, beginning Nov. 16.
Families were given a time period of Oct. 9-18 to choose their model. The model chosen will now be in place for students for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year, from Nov. 16, 2020 through second semester (May 2021).
The hybrid learning model includes four days (three hours and 15 minutes each day) of in-person learning on an AM/PM schedule Monday through Thursday. Remote learning will continue for those students on the other half of those days, along with remote learning on Fridays.
Families choosing the virtual learning model will be logged in and attending online classes with their teachers for the entire period. Instruction will be streamed live.
