Village President (Mayor) Dave Kimsey will be running unopposed next spring for a second four-year term in office.
The filing period for the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election for the Village of Chatham ended this past Monday at 5 p.m. Offices that are up for election include Village President (Mayor), Village Clerk and three Village Trustee positions. All positions carry four-year terms.
Current office holders whose terms expire in spring 2021 include Village President Kimsey, Village Clerk Amy Dahlkamp and Village Trustees Paul Scherschel, Brett Gerger and Ryan Mann. Dahlkamp and Mann did not seek re-election.
Dan Holden, a former village trustee, will be running unopposed for village clerk in 2021.
Gerger and Scherschel are both running for re-election as trustees, and they will be joined by Meredith Ferguson and Kelvin Coburn. That makes it the only contested race, with four people running for three trustee positions.
