he Village of Chatham will now officially contract out for yard waste and leaf collection and disposal, along with limb and branch pick-up, after two separate resolutions were approved at Tuesday’s regular meeting.

With all trustees and Mayor Dave Kimsey in attendance, the board approved three-year contracts with National Tree Care (limb and branch collection) and Waste Management (yard waste and leaf collection) by 6-0 votes.

The contract terms are from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022 for services from each contractor.

In addition, the board amended the Green Program fee, upping it from $2 a month to $4 a month. The only ‘no’ vote on that ordinance was from trustee Brett Gerger.

Also, the trustees approved the fiscal year 2020 budget, which totals $26,653,059 over all funds.
