Kenneth “Ken” Allan Martin, 82, of Springfield, died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Virden. 

He was born May 20, 1938 in Springfield, the son of John H. and Edna M. Ihlenfeldt Martin. He married Maxine Thornton Burgar in 2007. 

Ken served in the U.S. Army National Guard for seven years. He was the owner and operator of Ford Printing for 55 years until his retirement in 2011. Ken was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the ABC Club. 

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Martin of Springfield; son, Craig (Betsy) Martin of Springfield; daughter, Kelly Aidich of Williamsville; step-sons, Jeff (Sandy) Smith of Rochester, Steve (Teresa) Smith of Jackson, Mississippi and Rick (Julie) Burgar of Allen, Texas; step-daughters, Toni (John) Reynolds of Lakeville, Minnesota and Tina (Chris) Zettek of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister. 

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. 

A private family inurnment was held at Oak Ridge Mausoleum. A celebration of life was held June 4, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church Sanctuary in  Springfield with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating.
