There's nothing better than a white knuckle drive home and drive in to work commute in early November; it's simply the best. Settle in for our six months of winter, folks. At least I'm in full driving on ice mode a few months ahead of time; I mean, you've always got to look at the positives...

•I have to admit, I was surprised some area districts had school on Tuesday morning. Road conditions were pretty rough, but I guess I'm just showing the 'snowflake' side of me. I'll stand down...

Adam Wainwright has re-signed with the Cardinals, and that's a solid insurance policy for the starting rotation. Waino had a very solid season in 2019, and he earned a contract for 2020. He is one unbelievable human being and having him around for another year is just fine with me...

And I think it's an honest question, and I'm sorry to be 'Debbie Downer' to the BFIBs again. The team made the NLCS, yes, but was this team good enough to win the World Series last year? Do you really believe that the Cardinals could have beaten Houston or the Yankees or even the Dodgers? There is room for another big bat or two and another difference-making starter. It's called upgrading. Players on other teams are better than players on our team. If you are 'satisfied' and/or 'hamstrung' financially, I don't see how you can sell that bill of goods past bottom-line fans like myself...
