The Riverton School Board approved Amanda Holley as the new high school assistant principal Monday night.
Holley, chosen from an interview pool of three finalists, has been the assistant principal at Jacksonville Middle School for the last year, and before that served as a social worker in the Illini Central School District from 2012-20.
She also worked as a child care worker at First United Methodist Church in Springfield and at Building Blocks in the capital city.
