The Riverton Village Board approved the annual audit at Monday’s regular meeting.

No major concerns were found; the auditors recommended the village separate the sewer and water accounts, because it would be easier for them to balance those funds, Mayor Tom Rader commented.

The auditors inquired about the inventory of power poles and transformers on hand, but the mayor said there are extras on hand to ensure a quick restoration of power during an outage.

With the village obtaining a federal USDA Sewer Loan, there will need to be an extra audit on that account specifically next year, the mayor added.

Trustee Landess stated she, Stacy Patterson and Trustee Bartley had met with the auditor.
