The host Riverton High School varsity boys basketball team did not allow a point for almost 10 minutes to start the game and cruised past Rochester 55-24 Saturday night at the Hawk Center.

The Hawks led 12-0 after one period, despite not scoring for the final 4:02 of the stanza.

Rochester got on the board with an eight-foot turnaround jumper 1:53 into the second from Seth Parkinson, then the Hawks scored the next six points, four from Spencer Yoggerst and two foul shots from Colton Heckman, to extend the lead to 18-2.
