Rochester High School will have an official enrollment of 770 for the next two sports seasons, following the release of next year’s enrollments by the Illinois High School Association. The IHSA has altered its enrollment policy for the start of the current school year and will now use a school’s enrollment for a two-year period rather than one as in the past.
The 770 total was up slightly from 766 in 2018-19, and shows that Rochester High’s enrollment has remained relatively stable for four consecutive years. RHS’s official enrollment was 776, its highest ever, for the 2016-17 season and 774 in 2017-18.
Prior to that, Rochester’s enrollment had increased slightly every year but one since joining the Central State 8 Conference for the fall of 2010, as follows: 671 (2010-11), 684 (2011-12), 674 (2012-13), 682 (2013-14), 714 (2014-15) and 731 (2015-16).
