Rochester Superintendent of Schools Dan W. Cox reiterated the administration’s goal is to return to in-person learning for the start of the new school year in a message to the district issued Friday, June 19. 

“Regarding Return to Learning, I am excited to inform you that our goal is to return to in-person learning in the fall,” Cox’s message said. “With that stated, it is important to understand that the virus COVID-19 is still present and it is up to us to mitigate its impact and effect by adhering to public safety guidelines and recommendations.” 

Cox said seven “rapid response” teams of teachers and administrators are serving as steering groups in the following areas:
