If anyone ever doubted that the Rochester High football program is willing to take on any opponent in the state of Illinois, that question was answered Saturday.
After receiving word Thursday night that Decatur MacArthur would forfeit Friday’s game at Rocket Booster Stadium, the Rockets were faced with the prospect of a week off heading into the Leonard Bowl against Sacred Heart-Griffin. The RHS administration tried with no success to find a game against a similar-sized opponent in the area, and because they did not want the Rockets to be idle this week, a Saturday afternoon game at Wilmette Loyola Academy, a suburban private school, was arranged.
