Karlie Schnepp of Rochester will play in the IHSA Class A Girls State Tournament for the third straight year after shooting a 79 at the Jacksonville Sectional held at Jacksonville Country Club Monday.

Schnepp, a junior, was the second of the ten individuals to advance to the State Tourney at Red Tail Run in Decatur Friday and Saturday. She had nine-hole rounds of 38 and 41 for the 79.

The Rochester High girls team reached the Sectional with a second place finish at the Williamsville Regional held at The Rail in terrible conditions last Thursday, as it rained throughout the day. The Rockets shot a 385 total with a low four of Schnepp (40-40-81), Hannah Matrisch (45-50-95), Katie Dorman (46-50-96) and Kassie Skinner (51-62-113). Other scores were Lauren Phillips with 115 and Kassidy Conlon with 129.
