The Sherman Village Board meeting Tuesday night celebrated the heroic actions of two recent Williamsville High School graduates as well as three Sherman Police Department members.

Hunter Book and Ethan Willis were honored for assisting in saving the life of Ron Williams, a member of the Springfield Police Department who suffered cardiac arrest at Snap Fitness last month. Book and Willis performed CPR until emergency personnel arrived three minutes later. Williams was visibly emotional when he came up and stood next to the two men.

Book and Willis were also honored by the Sherman Fire Department and Chief Todd Masterhan for their actions.

Three members of the PD were honored for performing their duties in an exemplary fashion.
