The winningest coach in Williamsville High School baseball history has resigned.

Jess Buttry, who has coached at least one sport every year since his hiring in 2000, is stepping away to spend more time with his family.

“I appreciated the opportunity to coach in an excellent baseball program,” said Buttry, who assisted Doug Furlow before becoming head coach in 2006.
