All-tournament team member Maddie Roberts tallied 26 points, and the Williamsville High School girls basketball team recovered from a tough loss to open the Carlinville Holiday Tournament to defeat Greenfield-Northwestern 55-48 Thursday to claim the championship.

The Bullets, who lost to Calhoun on Monday to open the festivities in Macoupin County, extended their 25-23 halftime lead to 38-30 after three quarters and sealed the win by draining 6-for-9 charity tosses in the final stanza.
